For the last football game of the season, Tessa decided to create some senior baskets for the percussion seniors. She found this super cute idea on Pinterest to turn paint cans into shakos (marching band hats) and fill them with their favorite things. We even got a purple boa and paint stirrers to make the plumes. They turned out so awesome! Everyone was very impressed and the seniors loved the goodies.
We took pictures at the game in hopes of including one of the entire section in the little frames that Tessa had picked out. She found frames that had a matte border that she had all of the percussion sign for each of the seniors as well. We hoped this would be the picture, but too many faces were hidden, but it's a good picture of Tessa and Gisele in the front.
With Tessa and Gisele as the only girls, we had to get pictures of them together. They also had to have their traditional picture of Gisele holding Tessa. They're so silly.
Tessa always has fun playing with the cheerleaders. They often swapped drums and pom-poms so I took a picture when this cheerleader wanted to try on Tessa's quads. They also had to take some silly section pictures.
This was another full group photo that turned out a lot better since you can see everyone. They even have the shako gift baskets in the picture which was awesome. I had to get more pictures of Tessa while she performed one last time as well.
Tessa and the drumline played at a function at school, so I always like to get a picture when I see her perform. They have fun doing all of their gigs. At Lundy, Taryn had her last Thanksgiving luncheon. I was able to sneak into the cafeteria to eat lunch with her. We took our turn at this cute photo spot too. It's been so fun working in the same school as the girls. It won't be the same when Taryn moves on to middle school next year.
Aubrey went to a church activity with her friend Camille in the Resler ward and they had a photo shoot. There were some really cute pictures of Aubrey with her friends, but this was the best shot of Aubrey by herself. She's so beautiful!
There was a stake service project in November and Abby, Taryn, and I were all available to go. Tyler, Tessa, and Aubrey all had other commitments that morning. We picked pumpkins and piled them in pickup trucks. Taryn thought it was fun to find the other squash types that were hidden among the pumpkins.
We had a good time serving and being with other people in the stake. Our favorite part may have been when we got to throw the rotten pumpkins out of the field. It was a good morning.
Tessa went on a temple trip to Juarez with the youth. Audrey was nice enough to get a picture for me of Tessa and Logan while they were there. It was a great turnout for the youth and they always have a good time as a youth group while getting to serve in the temple.
Audrey put together long Christmas cards for the youth to sign to send to all the missionaries in the stake. She spent a Sunday taping them down on the church's gym floor so youth could sign the cards. It was so much more work than she thought it was going to be, but the parents and families of the missionaries thought it was the best thing ever. Seeing how many missionaries we have out from the stake was awesome and having so many messages, good thoughts, and well wishes on the cards was so fun to see. She rolled each one up and shipped them to their missions. It was such a great idea.
Taryn got to take a quick trip to Ruidoso with her friend Malerie and family. They went for Malerie's gymnastic meet. Taryn had fun cheering her on and spending time with their family. I love gymnastic meets so I was jealous, but I was happy that Taryn got to go and experience it. Taryn sang in church for the primary program with these cute girls. It's Presley, Kate, Emilie, and Taryn. They sang a primary song together during the program in Sacrament and they got a lot of compliments. I love that my girls love to sing.
Elder Duke was an awesome missionary serving in our ward. He stopped by to take some pictures before he got transferred out of El Paso. We weren't all home for our normal family picture, so he got pictures with the girls that were home at the time - Abby and Taryn. We love having the missionaries in our home. They do such a great job as they serve the Lord in our area.
Tessa traveled to Houston with her cross country team for their annual Nike South Invitational Cross Country Meet. They always drive all day on the bus, but make sure to stop on the way to do a multi-mile recovery run to stretch out their legs. I think it's so funny that they do that, but it's definitely a cross country thing to do. She loves being with her friends and getting to travel.

It was rainy on the actual day of the race which was a bummer, but that didn't stop the girls. They were dressed and ready and even did the fun pink paint on their legs and faces. Here's Tessa with a lot of the girls - Sienna, Kayla, Olivia, Breckyn, Isa, Hannah, and Tessa. Tessa's closest friends from this group are Hannah and Isa. They pretty much stayed together as they ran the race.
This race is so huge. There are teams from all over Texas that come to run at this meet. They are divided by times, so Tessa was racing with other girls from all over the state who have similar race times as her. We watched for her at multiple spots on the course and I got a few pictures as I saw her.
She and Isa stayed together for most of the race so it was fun looking for them as they ran. The course has them circle around the main field multiple times so we get to see them a lot throughout the race.
They did their final push together and Tessa crossed the finish line a few seconds behind Isa. She finished with a time of around 21:30, a full two minutes faster than her time last year at the same race.
