Aubrey had a birthday celebration that lasted over a week. The weekend before her birthday she got to open her first present from her cousin Chloe. Over the next 5 days until her actual birthday, whenever I told her it was almost her birthday she'd argue by saying, "No, I already 3."
Since Tyler wasn't getting into town until late on Aubrey's actual birthday, we celebrated the day with my brother and sister-in-law and their family. We shopped at the Dollar Store for her to have some presents to open since all the regular presents were being saved for her party two days later. We ate at Taco Bell for lunch (her favorite) and McDonald's for dinner (for the playground). I made a purple cake with purple frosting because it's her favorite color.
On Sunday, with Tyler home and Grandma and Grandpa back in town we had her official birthday party. We had a turkey dinner because stuffing is one of Aubrey's favorite foods. Here's Aubrey in front of all her gifts which are hidden behind her balloons.

Then a couple days later, a package arrives from Grandma and Grandpa Gibbons with even more presents for Aubrey. Her birthday really did stretch over two weeks. She had a hard time giving up the phrases "it's my birthday" and "I'm the birthday girl" which she was always saying to get things her way. We love this sweet girl!
